Some of the characters I made for Dead Effect 1&2 in between 2012-2017. I also designed all of them except two scientists in overalls which I made based on concepts from Jiří Stanko. Weapons and environments were made by another artists. These two games were developed primarily for mobiles, there were all kinds of limitations as for polygons count, textures resolution, no specular or roughness maps, using same and simple skeletons. Average polygons count for a common zombie was around 1300 tris. Bosses could be more complicated, so also polygons count could be higher, somewhere around 2500 tris. Each zombie had one texture, only few zombie bosses had two textures in order to have similar pixel density as the rest. Pixel density was the crucial thing, it should looks good with 1k textures for mobiles. That's why I often made only one leg or arm for bigger zombies, second one was symmetrical, so there was only one leg in the texture. All textures were made in Photoshop.
